This Azurite [Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2] on Uraninite (UO2) from the Hideout Mine in Utah is a cool, tie-dyed-looking blue and silver rock, but unless you’re an element collector in need of Uranium or rock collector desperate for Uraninite and you know how to keep this safely, you probably shouldn’t bring this home. But, you can watch it here to your heart’s delight!
It’s not the most radioactive rock at ColoRockCo, but it’s equally as important that you avoid putting any rocks that look like this in your pocket for long hikes, allow children to play with any rocks that look like this, put this in your pantry or on your nightstand, or especially, lick it or inhale its dust.
