$50,000

The ONLY Indium-rich mineral available for sale anywhere online (unless you know of any others for sale, in which case, please send a message)! You can also send an offer if you’re desperate to bring this home and add to your collection.

Description

As you may already know, Roquesite hasn’t yet been found in Colorado. This Roquesite specimen comes to us from the Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. To date, Roquesite has only been found in maybe 55 locations worldwide, and only three in the US – one each in Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

Roquesite has a hardness of 3½ – 4 and a specific gravity of 4.78. Having been first described in France, Roquesite is named after Maurice Roques, a French geologist.

As you may have seen from this short –

while Indium is found in this mineral, it isn’t typically mined from this mineral, as this mineral is incredibly rare, along with the other 22 minerals which have been named and contain Indium. Instead, for Indium ore, you can get for much cheaper some https://youtu.be/xKaJrVf4V34 Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite, which have 40 and 90ppm of Indium in those minerals, respectively, as those minerals are far more abundant.

While this seems to be the only Indium-bearing rock online available for you to bring home, it’s listed currently at quite the price. However, if you know of any near you, or know how to get any more, please send a message!
