Triangular Point

$200

This Triangular Point Arrowhead was purchased as a part of a collection in Colorado, but it may have been made by a very skilled Ute 500-3,000 years ago

Description

According to projectilepoints.net, this point is associated with nomadic bison hunters of the plains and prairie region.
Found far north into Alberta and Saskatchewan, Montana, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, and the plains region of Colorado.
Yet, this somehow ended up in a collection in Western Colorado – the other side of the Rockies.
If C dating of bones found near similar points can be of any indication, this could be 3,000 or 500 years old.
Assuming this was originally found near Grand Junction, Colorado, according to Native-land, it could have been a Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), or Diné Bikéyah that made this, or it might be older?
It may have been responsible for providing your great (x300) grandfather’s dinner long ago, or it might have been a murder weapon, ceremonial gift, or a knife turned atlatl tip turned arrowhead that was then lost and never used in its final state?
Fun to think about the possible history behind this rock, but one thing’s known for sure, the creator was skilled and talented, showing off with this beautiful piece!
